The most popular edge profiles available for wood flooring today are Flush and Micro-Bevel. Flush edges, the standard for many years, give the floor a uniform, smooth surface and a more formal or contemporary feel. Micro-Bevel, with its shallow V-groove where the planks meet, is rapidly becoming more popular. Micro-Bevel can help hide minor irregularities, for instance, slightly uneven plank heights that can occur due to uneven subfloor or underlayment material. Both styles are available in a choice of widths from 2" to 9 1/4".
